The inaugural Micklethwaite Masters was held at Grange Over Sands Golf Club on Saturday, 10th June 2023. On a superbly presented course, running hard and fast in the hot and dry conditions, it was Grange Club Captain Stephen Johnson with partner Malcolm Holmes who came out on top with an excellent score of 46 points. Congratulations Stephen and Malcolm and to all the prizewinners.
Prizes for the first five placed pairs will be presented at the end of season Team Classic and Prize Giving at Grange over Sands GC on Saturday, 30th September 2023.
Many thanks again to everyone concerned at Grange Over Sands GC for their top class hosting and hospitality on the day. Special mention to Club Secretary Shirley Dobson, Professional Kyle Vipond, Caterer Tony, Frank Watson and his team of car parking stewards, and Lady Captain Margaret Taylor.
Finally, thanks again to everyone who played for supporting the event and making the day a fitting inauguration for this new competition and well-deserved tribute to Les.
